What is massage?
Massage is the therapeutic application of touch using a range of movements or strokes to manipulate the soft tissues of the body, particularly muscles. It can be used for relaxation, stimulation or rehabilitation of the whole body or part of it. It aids the elimination of wastes (toxins), tones and stretches connective tissue and improves circulation.
Massage is now one of the most widely practiced complementary therapies and should be thought of as a way of life rather than as a luxury. It is used increasingly alongside orthodox medicine for treating a range of ailments, many of which are attributed to stress and tension. When repressed emotions, which often manifest themselves in the muscles, are released through massage both mind and body benefit
Above all, massage is a non-threatening, non-invasive and safe natural therapy.
